Number 10 Southland Youth One Stop Shop opened its doors in 2008 to respond to the needs of the young people of Southland. We offer services to young people aged 10-24 years. Using a strengths based approach we empower the health and wellbeing of young people in safe, youth-friendly environment.
Programming at Number 10 is inspired by the Te Whare Tapa Wha model of health that promotes physical, mental, spiritual and whanau/family well being. In line with the Youth Development Strategy Aotearoa, we ensure young people are considered in terms of the 'big picture' not just the here and now by encouraging young people to build the skills and tools that they will use on their lifelong journey.
Number 10 is an approved social services provider by the Ministry of Social Development and receives financial support from the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Youth Development, and Oranga Tamariki Ministry of Children.
